5. As an approved fuel will be required for the race, the Canberra Branch of the Royal Aeronautical Society has negotiated with the B. P. Oil Company for the supply of fuel for the race. In return the Company is to offer a prize additional to those mentioned above. The extent of this prize is subject to the number of entrants but could be of the order of £100.

6. The Canberra Branch of the Royal Aeronautical Society wishes to obtain sponsors for each competitor with the view that each machine will advertise some product and in return the sponsors will pay the competitor say £50. Intending competitors who would like to be sponsored should advise the Secretary of the Society.

7. With reference to paragraph 4.2.4 the Society will endeavour to supply jackets on loan for the day of the race for those competitors who cannot obtain life jackets.
